Week 4
Seattle International motor cycle show Jan. 97
We went with the group of voyagers in a 12 passenger van.
All kinds of shiny new bikes were there on display. The new gold wings have a lower seat and I could touch the floor without my tall boots on. I tried out all kinds of bikes. The food was great but not awesome. It was good to share with others that love the sport of motor cycling as much as we do. The shopping was fun we got a couple of late Christmas gifts riding gloves for me. That night the ferry ride was absolutely awesome like in the movie you’ve got mail with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in it.
Sat. 6-27-98 Two bikes
Dh took his motor cycle to work with tools gear in an ice cream bucket in the saddle bags to hold the tools in the trunk. I met him on my bike after work where he works at the truck depot. We rode home together, we stopped by our favorite Mexican place on the way. Had a the place to ourselves! It was a lite lunch. His tires were low so he had to air them up across the street at the gas station deli store, one of mine was low too. It was an absolutely awesome day for us both!
Sun. Sunday Dinner Ride 2 bikes
After cutting his hair (I used to be a beautician) his helmet fits better. It got good and hot out today too. We went up by Field’s Spring where we go up some fun twisty roads and over the top to the bottom of the canyon and we had a lunch at Bogan’s it was a fun quaint place. We had a nice lunch of chicken fried steaks. It was small place not so big city crowded the feeling was great!
He took his voyager, he polishes up the wood grain dash up on this Sat. with the stuff he got for it last weekend. I took my virago. We went in to the park was full. Anatone days was last weekend so it was full of people up there to celebrate that.
The trees sure smelled good. Our bikes always attract a lot of attention every where we go. People always come up and ask questions, how much they cost, where we are from, how far we travel about the trailer about the options on the big bikes cruise control, am fm radio the dash.
I saw a deer grazing on the hill side beside the road in the middle of the afternoon, it had big ears and a dark color to the hair, it was a mule deer.
Thurs. 7-2-98 Errands solo
I rode my motor cycle today to do errands, went to the drive up window at the bank. I’d always want to do that on my bike. =D I went to Clarkston and did some window shopping and errands too. It is great to get out early on my bike and beat the heat, it’s cool on the bike and a great treat for after my walk! I absolutely love it!
7-7-98
I rode my motor cycle across and around the heights to check on our lot no forth of July fires on it this year.
Sun. we took both bike out to charge up the batteries in them.
Dh took his virago to work today.
Road trips ~ snake pit cafe'
We had great trips last year to Kellogg Idaho in the Wallace area that we enjoyed all the touristy stuff to do rode the Gondola: went to tour a silver mine, ate at a place that was in a movie Dante’s Peak about a volcano with Pierce Bronson in it. The snake pit was the name of the cafĂ©.
We went to the car dealership that claims to be the biggest in the us dodge Dave Smith we went antiquing, and to a museum, drove around the lakes and checked out a new camp ground. We fished the KOA at Pinehurst, Id. Feed the ducks there too. They have neat bridges over the water to walk on, it looks better every time we go through there. It’s right off the freeway to / from Montana. We checked out a different camp ground only ten dollars a night across the road too. Wild Waters and Silverwood amusment parks up in that area too. I like to get huckleberry stuff for gift baskets for the holidays too.
