8-02-98 Sun. P.M. 2 up Snake river ride
We both got on dh’s bike and rode out to the Y in the road by the fishing hole. The ( Snake) river was low and we could see lots of fish feeding on the bugs in the water. It was shot we were thankful for the shaded areas, and some cloud cover. Short rides are great when it is so hot out! We went to the new A&W for dinner it was grand!
We got wind/sun burnt and were not out more than on hour. We forgot to put on the sun sunscreen, a hot dry wind reflecting off of the rocks. Near 100* Could parch home one very quickly! Sun on our eyes on the way home made it difficult to see, we like A.M. cool breakfast rides better for this time of year.
8-4-98 Tues. Solo Ride Part way up the grade on hwy 12 out of Clarkston
This morning I rode dh’s bike Virago (1100) out past the park and up past Wilson/Banner fruit ranch to see what was in stock and in season posted on their sign part way the grade. It was wonderful and cool. I came in town and rode around and near a nursery I stopped at the hay’s produce and got some fresh peaches and bulbs to plant, and then came on home.
It was a great ride the produce stand was right across the street from the Macscycle.com motor cycle shop too. I met some other bikes headed East makes me wonder if they are going to Sturgis, S.D.
8-6-98 Riding to work
Dh took the motor cycle to work the last two days, his virago. He said the rack he installed a few weeks back is working great and he even had room for his coffee on it too! So it’s awesome that it is working out so well for him. He was happy about that, and takes the small cooler with him now too.
I got the spedo cable for my bike yesterday . I can’t wait to have my bike so I can be out buzzing around on it again! It is so much fun in the summer to do that!
8-5-98 Ride to church
Dh got off early and put my new speedometer cable on my bike. I took it to church, it was awesome to be able to ride it again. I had really been missing it. It was so good to get back on it and ride again!
It was dark when I got up to the heights I was glad I left when I did. The sun set was beautiful when I came home the golden glow in the western sky was glorious. The fresh air was really good for me.
