I rode my motor cycle out past the park, but this time it was on the other side of the river. Another beautiful crisp nice cool morning. It was wonderful I rode down the new road they opened up this week; now paint it was all fresh and clean! Spotted a yard sale on the way down. At the stop sign I was surrounded by truck traffic, one coming one ahead of me one behind me, we were all waiting for one that had the right of way then a another one came from the company works for. It gave me pleasant memories seeing the trucks, and smelling the exhaust made me think of when were owner operators and I was driving long haul over the road. There were log trucks loaded we were following today, they turned off a the port of Wilma.

All the truck traffic was on the read wolf crossing bridge. It was neat because I was not intimated at all. I was rather enjoying it. When I was waiting and stopped at the stop sign on the bride I had a great view it is quite a ways up in the air that bridge. I rode out to the junction in the road. There was the river on one side with such an awesome view, reflecting the blue sky rugged rocky terrain of mountains all up and down the gorge like this is here clear to the ocean, it down flatten out some. One pond looked very inviting for fisherman, particularly bass fisherman. It had cattails and bull-rushs, still water it was as pretty as a post card! I was wishing I had my camera with me!

On the river the water was rippling from a little bit of wind today, I prayed for some friend’s that live up on the hill to be safe from rattle snakes. It’s a hot year and the have been bad I have heard several accounts of close encounters. I dreamed about them last night it’s not unusual for me to have pre-knowledge of stuff through dreams.

On the way back I enjoyed the scenery and saw a guy stacking lumber on the green chain at one of the mills Bennett Lumber Co. by the road. I stopped by a yard sale but not much room in my saddle bags. I found some navy blue and white striped denim type fabric, 8 yards I bet! I got it for only $3.00 it will make a great quilt back or comforter for the camping in the tent. Then on home to unload my treasure!

It’s hot already by 9:00! I’m loving these early a.m. jaunts on my bike. I’ve needed to ge out. I spotted a black tee shirt with a Harley emblem in it. I’m hoping to get it next time I’m out and about on my bike!

Sat. 7-20-05
On Sat . we both got on our motor cycles and did an early a.m. ride dh brought his touring bike. We rode out to the cat tails pond he heard how much fun I had and wanted to go too, it was great, nice and cool. We had a wonderful time chatting on the air using out cb radios. We stopped for breakfast on the way back home it was a beautiful morning. We had a great time.

On Sun. I strapped on my boots chaps and took a spin out past the pig barn that collapsed in the last rainstorm. Up the grade to Cloverland, I saw two trees that were blown over their hearts were hollow and rotted away, but leaves were on them. Rather strange looking, the road was washed out in one spot as will as a driveway. Lots of damage here and these, deep ditches were newly eroded away. That’s how the term gully washer came about. Rocks had been moved. It was pretty impressive to see it.

Dh worked on his virago all Saturday. They almost had the whole thing torn apart The seat was off the signal lights in the rare were off, the back fender was loose. All to install the larger read luggage rack. He got the holes drilled and got it mounted and back together.

Sunday a.m.

While I was out for a spin dh was out and installing his cb radio. Sunday afternoon we took both of the viragos out for a spin and we went to fields spring. Followed a local guy on a little Honda 250 up. He had gobs of interesting stories “whitey” he said to call him. It was a hoot to listen to him! He sure gave us lots to think about. He showed us the springs in the shade it was wonderful. We came home and bar-b-qued.
