Sun. 9-10-98 Ride to church and group ride
Yesterday we took bikes to early church Nazerene where other members of the Voyagers club go. Dh took his voyager I took my virago. We have friends from the motor cycle group there we stayed for Sunday school. Then went and did a bit of shopping before we went for a group ride with the voyager club.
We meat in the orchards and went to Lawyers Canyon, there were seven bikes we had a picnics ride and stopped for pie at a cafe there in Winchester, Idaho. We saw dh’s great aunt there and he gave her a hug she was delighted. We came home down the old grade at Winchester it was great hot though.
The summer weather is nice but hot! We were so glad to get home and relax, in the cool of the air conditioning. dh polished up his bike in the afternoon on Sat. it was wonderful to see it all spiffed up and shiny.
This was a wonderful weekend, we rested on Sat. we really needed it. The ride Sun. was wonderful. I was really needed to get out of town. We stopped at a store and I got some yarn for a couple more knitting projects baby blankets.
Our neighbors made it home safe and sound from their Sturgis S.D. trip yesterday too.
8-11-98 Ride to Work
Dh took his motor cycle to work today. He left before day light with his lunch and work case all strapped on the back on his new luggage rack. It is neat that it is working so well for him. I gave him a good bye kiss and saw him off with a wave. It was fun to see him excited about using it!
New trailer kit ordered
Dh ordered a new trailer kit and cargo carrier for his motor cycle this month. We are excited to ge that and start working on putting it together. Hopefully in time for our vacation.
8-20-98 Dive bombed by a bird.
Today I drove my motor cycle to town to take a roll of film in there is a lot of gravel on the roads they are putting down fresh oil on the side streets and on a lot of the main through fares. So I had to be really careful when I turned off the main drag, I made one detour because of it. It is warming up not earlier in the morning again.
I came home the long way that was nice a dove hit me on the top of a head while I was driving home just out side of town. There was a fire truck just a little bit ahead of me. I followed and could see the smoke billowing up and rising in to the sky. Yesterday I rode out to the bass hole and saw a fish jump! When I came back they were doing road work on the bridge and the flagman and guys grinned and waved when I came back through it. That was a fun day too; every day does seem different. =D
Sat. 8-15-98 Breakfast ride
We both rode bucks blue bike, love the intercom on it it’s fun with the mikes on our helmets. We rode up past Wilson banner ranch, where they raise fruit. It was nice and cool out in the morning; we went out to breakfast afterwards.
