Getting ready for spring camping season is under way here now. Dson has gotten some free pallets for fire wood, He has each of the girls bush pulling nails out using a claw hammer. We rounded up drift wood, and other scraps of lumber around the yard, we looked under stumps we found three or four night crawlers, some of those went in to the fish tank, others with the night crawlers for fishing.
As I get a blog entry ready I can use a few min. of quietude and I'm enjoying doing this! I got the mowing done today, Dh (dear hubby) said that there were logs, and whole trees floating down the river, and could not believe he saw five boats out in the river with all that junk floating in it. That’s where driftwood originates the mountains! I never thought about that much before the floods in the last few years.
Car pool ½ by me ½ done by dear son. #1 dgd (dear grand daughter) can read Dr. Seuss books now, and tell time. I had some granny duty so dear son could load up his camper.
There was a cow in a stock truck down the street, so the grandkids had a look see, This red cow a white faced herford was like they used to raise grand champions back in the day at the farm when dh was a child. Dgd was wanting to know how they hauled horses, I told her a one ton stock (duel tires) truck with racks, she did not know what that was. Then this truck showed up so now she does. It’s left now. Dear hubby had to call his uncle on the Washington farm, and they had a good visit in the evening, he has been doing summer following it’s all plowing to me! Lol (laught out loud). (My family were loggers.)
I mowed the neighbors front yard again, she said not to try to tackle the back, She was going to hire some one to weed whack it, their mower is in the shop.
We had a she snafu this week, #1 dgd is in pm kindergarten, they had a field trip in the morning, and we spaced it. We do pretty good on the regular stuff, once in a while something new is added into the mix and it can really throw us.
Dear daughter said she and dear grand son would join us for a family bike ride! We are looking forward to that! Soon as these rains end we will begin to really enjoy more of our favorite outdoor activies. Thier chickens have a new pen and seem to be thriving, they got four of them as chicks this spring.
