When we stopped at the Bison range, open range we saw a heard of elk, we were glad we had the binoculars with us. I got some post cards ready to go and mailed them off this morning to family.
Fires are in the headlines, some are in Darby now and they are evacuating and not letting anyone in through there so we are glad we did our loop of traveling the way we did or we would not have been able to see all the great scenery we have seen on this trip. There is heavy traffic coming out of Polson today, we met a lot of motor cycles today, loaded up like we were.
We drove by the smoke jumper’s station by the airport, boy was it full! The National Guard has called up and sent out to help fight all the fires. At St. Mary, Darby, and Dixie where we were near and other places too.
We soaked in the hot tub and went for a swim, had a snack and just generally relaxed and took it easy in the evening. We washed up our bikes they sure needed it.
