Biker Blog 24 Motor Cycle Meeting

Sat. 9-12-98
We went to the gold wing motor cycle meeting, I had fun. I won the door prize some potpourri with a doily over a jar. I took a pampering gift basket to auction off for ht brown bag raffle. I put some neat stuff in it, a current woman’s magazine a bath beads to use while you watch the candle burn that was also in it, a bath washing cloth I had knitted, some tea bags, a note card, a nice dish I’d found antiquing to hold the candle, and a blank lined journal to write out your thoughts. The gals went nuts bidding over the brown bag when they hound a out it was one for e women. I volunteered to do some publicity, IE: adds for the local TV and radio stations and news paper. We had breakfast and they discussed the up coming show-n-shine, conflict with the days of the camp out and three rives, and some runs and rallies members had attended.

A run next spring on Fathers day, and other business. One of the gals is opening up a craft shop wants me to teach spinning and weaving lessons. So it was exciting for me with some new things fun, fun, fun!

We drove both of our bikes to the local A&W for dinner this evening to warm them up for an oil change from the trip. Mine now has 27,600 miles on it. I’m out chatting with dh now while he changes oil. I’m watching an owl in the tree that has taken up residence here sense we went on vacation and I turned on the fountain in the back too. It’s a wonderful nice and peaceful meeting place for spiritual inner connectedness. I’m still trying to get caught up on the house work after vacations but have not let it worry me excessively. The ride home from dinner was fun came the long way by the river it was beautiful! We live in a beautiful place here too. Drove by the motor cycle and antique shops on the way home but they were both closed. I got an accessories catalogue for my bike when I got oil for it on Fri. it’s fun to look and to dream.
