Free Day Friday

Today I have been more productive and got the last load of laundry going. I did four rounds outside weeding I did three in front and one in back, the fire pit looks way better now that I have gotten the tall grass that the mower would not get close to it pulled. Glad to have the seeds picked out of the flower pots, weeded around the front flower bed, seeds raked up on the driveway and out of the lawn & swept up. I weeded along the flower bed by the back fence. It does not seem like much when written down here. On days I think I did not get much done when I journal about it I realize hey I did get some thing done. Or there was a good reason I didn't because I was out doing errands or my granddaughter was here all day.

Between those tasks I processed mail read through some paper work. I am not doing a lot this Memorial Day weekend. I am extremely grateful to have better weather today and see the sunshine while walking the dog this morning. It is much more pleasant for yard work. I picked up after the dog and put the dirt back in after the moles or what ever was digging up the side yard.

Found an e-book I wanted to read back in at the library so I checked that out and did some reading this morning I was glad to see that one returned!  It is a lot on interactions with others, relationships, co workers, etc. in this time of quarantine it is not so easily applied for me.

One family on the block has gone camping this weekend. Looks like the mom stayed behind to catch up on her work she is working from home these days.

I cut off some pants to hem. I have a couple of tasked to do they do not take long so I need to get to those.

I did some knitting and have made progress on that project knitting up rounds to stitch together for a wrap or something I got two cones of white yarn for these I am to the last of this with approximately two balls left to knit up of this white cotton four ply yarn.  This pattern I have memorized in my head some one wanted a copy of it but I watched it on you tube to learn it and did not write it down.  Just because I have a written pattern does not mean they will be able to read and understand the way they abbreviate words like st. for stitch as an example.

I have had a lot of peace today and confident I can accomplish the paper work coming in the days and months ahead. It is taking some time and is not done quickly it is a process.

I was stuck earlier in the week on the rainy days I was not as productive mid week but some things just had to wait. The seeds are 95% down out of the maple tree now so I can do more clean up of them. It is a timing thing. When they dry out after they are down for a week or so we can get to the gutters. My daughter is going to help with that.

I am trying to use up the stuff in the freezer so I did not go to the store.
The dog was SO happy to be able to get to do a walk into morning.

Got the dishes done less of those because I did not do any baking, pulled something out of the freezer.  I swept the kitchen dining & hall and swished the bathrooms. Yea for progress it is great to have that!
