We went for a worm walk today after it rained the dear granddaughters like to walk and look for worms to go fishing with. Today they took umbrellas and pretended it was raining because the rain has stopped. We really needed the rains because there were some brush fires one hundred miles from here and the smoke was starting to blow in, the rains have put them out.
The rains also watered my scented geraniums, apple mint, lemon verbena, rosemary. I need to get some more creeping thyme. I would like to get a one or two dozen lavender plants I’m still trying to decide where the best place for them would be. These would be great for the wedding. There was a gal at the farmers market with a tray of reasonably priced herbs I wish I would have gotten the whole flat of them maybe next weekend. No lavendar however I was wondering about the chocolate mint. We will be going back maybe she will have some next weekend. Last week at the midweek farmers market in town here one of the vendors had some huckleberry bread for sale some small loaves these will be great for the freezer for to have on hand for gatherings.
