Rides Amusement Park
My favorite amusement park is Silverwood, a theme park North of Coeur D’ alene, Idaho. My favorite time there we were both on my 1,100 Yamaha Virago. I left my bike back at the motel to save on parking fees that day. We got soaked on one of the rides and by the time we got back to that motel in Coeur d’ Alene I was dry. That was such a fun day I’ll always remember it!
Motorcycle Rain Ride
I was just out to see my grand daughters on my other motor cycle a 1500 Vulcan classic, to watch them while their dad went to town to do some errands he came back and said “you had better go it looks bad outside it’s thundering.”
Lightening flashes as I hurried and got my long sleeved shirt, coat and helmet. I headed for home opting to for-go the bright yellow rain gear in my saddle bags. Thinking I could beat the storm. (Lesson learned: Big mistake here put on rain gear before heading out into a storm!)
It was just starting to rain an few drops. Then I got out of the rain and the sky brightened up, but when I turned off to head up the hill for home I headed back into the storm, then it started to hail. I had to slow way down. Hail hurts when it hits you when riding a motor cycle! This is the first time I’ve had that happen, yowie! Then it really started to down pour on I went, another motor cycle was behind me someone else was caught out in this storm also.
Water was running in the streets like rivers. Drops were bouncing six inches off the pavement. I continued on in this cloudburst avoiding the road construction dirt and mud I stayed on the paved roads. More rivers of water were running down hill, but I made it home safely, not before I was soaked to the skin. I have never been so wet on my bike before. It was the last three and a half miles that got me. I must adimt that it was the most exciting twenty five minutes of my week!

At the BMX Bike Races
At the races:
BMX races are fun and family oriented activities my time there has been fun our 19 year old daughter biffed, bit the dirt, it was the week she already had four stitches in her chin from an earlier tangle with a car door on her bike. A friend caught this snafu moment in the race with his video camera. Our son commented “oh cool, none pf my good wrecks are on tape!”
They relive it after the race several times on instant replay to see what happened. Pause the moves and saw the pedal of the bike when it caught the dirt in a turn sending and an bike end over end. That’s why the wear helmets in this sport.
Vendors around the track have sports drinks and riding gear hang on ropes strung from tent awning poles to sell as fund raisers for team’s racing funds.
Announcers declare winners and placers heats, starting gates near the sign in booth. Raffle ticket winners are announced, and then the music resumes. Children ride bikes around the park waiting for their next turn to race again.
Dad’s and mom’s get in to the action in a fun and often funny spirit of competition, especially as a seat breaks or kids yell go! Go! Go! to urge their parent on almost willing them to win.
“It is a lot like BMX motor cross racing only not motocross, less noisy and the part are cheaper” to quote one winner.
This was a fun day for all. (spring 2001)

Health and Fitness / Prayer Walk
I'm Back from my walk 2.5 mi. today the flowers were great, more tulips dogwoods and lilacs are in bloom all the time. On my daily route when I go this way I see chickens, horses, pigs, cows and calves. The cattle has been moved a bit further from the road.
My daily walk helps me to have time to pray, collect my thoughts, clear my head, refocus and to get clarity on decisions, think of new ideas for crafts and ideas come during this time.
Today I was cold the heat had gotten left off duh ~ so I put on a sweater and went for my walk to warm up today. I noitced the lawn needs mowed so I'll be getting more exercise this afternoon doing that. I blew off my long walk yesterday finding and setting a up blog. I did get a short one in 20-30 min.
Exercise helps me to keep a brighter out look on life and to dump stress.
Keeping good care of my temple there is a verse in the Bible some where about our bodies being a temple of the Holy Spirit.
My goal is 45 min. of exercise a day. I've been using Dr. Phil's plan lost 30 lbs with it last year. I have the book walk it off a reader's digest book to read.

I just finished reading this one. It was from her healing school sermons I heard her preach this last summer on TV. A good read and lots of positive input in this book that I needed. It’s a good one and I'll read this one again. This book was good for me to read to be reminded of God’s goodness, I was able to think about these on my prayer walks. A good read. This is the first book I've read by Gloria Copeland and really enjoyed her writing style. It has a smooth relaxed flow and was a great book for gearing down and relaxing with.

Can't belive I have actually gotten one

I've been wanting to do this for SO long!

I wanted to change the name any way. Got this name from gdaughters when they were chasing butterflies they called them speed fliers!

dson (dear son) is engaged this is new news just happend this month.
I've been planting roses.
It's great fun I really enjoy gardening this time of year.
Garden thoughts:
I was thinking about gardening before I went to bed, life purpose type of q’s have been on my mind and I woke up with a few answers. Gardening I garden bc I can, I love to and making my world a more beautiful place is one of my goals in life. The neighbors have troubles growing flowers and enjoy seeing my yard from my deck.
Stuff just grows for me, and plants appear like the violets in the shade. Grand kids throw fits when they have to leave because I have a spot that used to be a garden and is now just dirt for them to play in, and lawn in a fenced yard that is a safe place to play. It is therapy for me and I have been able to share this with a friend and she is loving it now that she has her own place a small cottage and she grows a wonderful garden of vegetables.
God was the first gardener he created the garden before man or the animals. Gardening is one of those times when burying your talents is a good thing. Kids play in the dirt adults call it gardening. Planting roses is my new reward for working hard cleaning up the house and yard. It seems to be working for me. Gardening is one time when burring your talen is a good thing!

Got my new tablet pc this month too, the xp operating system is new and the tablet feature I've been on a high learning curve with this. Took my weekly hike in the field yesterday and saw 6 deer this happens a lot.
The boat is in the shop and getting a new motor after unnamed person sank it last July the put in different rebuilt motor and it's just never been a dependable one. There was not one in town so that had to be shipped in.
The only spring fair in the state is here this weekend and the dogwood festival too.
